Leipzig has been a trade fair city since 1497. This means that it has a visitor-friendly infrastructure, and arrival is quick and easy:
- By airplane to Leipzig/Halle Airport (LEJ): The airport is very modern and customer-friendly, and has its own train station.
- By high-speed train to the central station in Leipzig: With its 26 tracks, the station is the biggest and probably the most beautiful in Europe.
- By car: Located within a triangle of three motorways (German autobahns A 9, A 14 and A 38), Leipzig has 13 motorway exits and is easily accessible by car.
If you visited Leipzig more than ten years ago, you will experience it as a new city. Even recent visitors will be surprised: Our new university building, designed by star architect Erick van Egeraat, is a superb architectural attraction. This central campus (Universitätsstr. 3) will also be the venue of our conference.
